Showerline implements TransLution™ Software to assist with production tracking

Showerline, South Africa’s Premier manufacturer and distributor of customised glass shower enclosures, elected to use TransLution to assist them with their production tracking process.

A key requirement for Showerline was the ability to track production through some custom statuses that give them additional information about the progress of the job through production. Various custom form fields were added to SYSPRO to cater for the additional detail required, and TransLution™ is used both to track jobs through these statuses and to move jobs from one status to the next. In order to save on hardware costs, Showerline implemented the solution with shared Touchscreen terminals running TransLution™ EazyTouch.

Version 5.7 has a large focus on extending the EazyTouch look and feel. This has been done by allowing Super Users to create and manage layouts to control font size, line colour, filtering and grouping on a per function area basis.

Montagu Foods, a Libstar group company, implemented TransLution™ Software with the vision of stock traceability through jobs. The project is focussed on finished goods and will go back to the beginning of the process in subsequent phases.

Like the other sites, Lancewood Swellendam products finished goods, however the site acts primarily as a supply warehouse for Lancewood George. This means that rather than picking sales orders for customers, finished goods are dispatched to the warehouse in George.

What’s New in TransLution V5.6 – Release Date 18 Mar 2020

TransLution Version 5.6 has a large focus on extending the Android functionality to be closer to the current EazyTouch functionality. With that goal in mind, Android was extended to support the two Quality Manager overlays and also to support the ability to call a Subroutine from both a General Grid and a TL Selector grid.

Additional changes include the ability to setup the permissions for EazyQuery using EazySetup and also some enhancements to the way data is logged after doing a post to Syspro.

INTOCAST Ibérica uses TransLution™ Software to label and scan finished goods

INTOCAST is a major supplier of consumables for iron and steelmaking to the German and European steel industry. This global organization has a network of 12 German and 17 foreign sites. INTOCAST Ibérica in Spain is the third INTOCAST site in Europe and the fourth overall to use TransLution™ Software in their production scanning.

The Spanish site uses TransLution™ to label and scan finished goods out of production. When a finished item is scanned, TransLution™ uses the Bill of Materials to find all the raw materials required to make this product.
