Berry | Astrapak, a specialised manufacturer of an extensive range of rigid moulded, and thermoformed plastic packaging products serving the African market, is using TransLution at eight of their sites across South Africa. Plastform, the division providing the market with a wide range of thermoformed and moulded packaging, is the latest site to go live with TransLution™.

During this project, TransLution was implemented at Plastform to facilitate the movement and management of stock. The goal was to implement a scanning solution which would assist users to track stock while enforcing consistent and reliable warehouse practices.

Astrapak JJ Precision uses TransLution Software to Print Job Labels and Scan Items for Job Receipts

Astrapak JJ Precision is the fifth Astrapak site to go live using TransLution. JJ Precision’s manufacturing operation produces moulds for the food and beverage, personal care, petrochemical and industrial/ automotive sectors.

At this site, TransLution is used to print Job labels and to scan items for job receipt purposes. All job receipts are posted to SYSPRO and once boxes have been receipted, they can be packed onto a pallet as part of a pallet building process. There are also scanning functions to post raw material issues to jobs.

Showerline implements TransLution™ Software to assist with production tracking

Showerline, South Africa’s Premier manufacturer and distributor of customised glass shower enclosures, elected to use TransLution to assist them with their production tracking process.

A key requirement for Showerline was the ability to track production through some custom statuses that give them additional information about the progress of the job through production. WHATS NEW IN TRANSLUTION V570

Version 5.7 has a large focus on extending the EazyTouch look and feel. This has been done by allowing Super Users to create and manage layouts to control font size, line colour, filtering and grouping on a per function area basis.

Montagu Foods, a Libstar group company, implemented TransLution™ Software with the vision of stock traceability through jobs. The project is focussed on finished goods and will go back to the beginning of the process in subsequent phases.

The first step in the project was labelling finished goods pallets and posting a Job Receipt to Syspro. This allows TransLution™ to build up a stock picture of all stock on each pallet in the warehouse. The system also supports pallets with mixed stock on the pallets.
