Rutherford Implements TransLution PDF Watcher to automatically add documents to SYSPRO
Rutherford, a major distributor of world-renowned brands, including Makita power tools, has implemented the TransLution PDF Watcher product to process scanned business documents and attach them to Invoices in SYSPRO.
After sales orders have been delivered and the signed delivery notes returned to Rutherford, they are all scanned and saved as PDF files. The TransLution PDF watcher services scans through these files looking for barcoded invoice numbers – once a barcode has been identified, a background function in TransLution attaches the signed delivery note to the invoice in SYSPRO so that if there are any queries from customers, Rutherford can open the signed POD directly from within SYSPRO rather than having to search through multiple hard or soft copies.
There is also a viewing dashboard to deal with exceptions – if there are any scanned PDF documents where a barcode could not be read, TransLution PDF Watcher allows a user to view the document and manually enter the required barcode so that the document can still be linked to SYSPRO for later reference purposes. This happens, for example, when the barcode is smudged or covered by notes or comments.
