In2Food, a manufacturer of high-end pre-made food products to global retailers and wholesalers, expanded their use of TransLution™ Software to their Spring Valley facility. This is the third In2Food site using TransLution.

TransLution™ is used by In2Foods Spring Valley for receiving fruit which can be delivered in bins, lugs or punnets. While receiving, the user selects the container type that is being received and the system automatically processes the differences between the different types of containers. Users are required to either count, or count and weigh, then labels are printed for the items being received. Finally, the transaction is posted to SYSPRO along with either the unit count or the weight. The packaging weight is deducted as part of this process.

TransLution™ is also used in the collation and dispatch area. The details of each sales order are printed from TransLution™. This document is given to the collation user who will pack and then build trollies on TransLution™. The user indicates the stock code and quantity of lugs on each trolley and a backflush is posted to SYSPRO.  Thereafter, the trollies are moved to the dispatch area and loaded onto the truck by scanning the trolley and entering the quantity of lugs being moved from the trolley to the truck. Once the truck is loaded, a screen shows what has been loaded onto the truck and if acceptable, the user can post a dispatch to SYSPRO before the truck leaves.
