TransLution™ V5.4: What’s new for end users?
The release of TransLution™ V5.4 on 16 September 2019 focussed mainly on simplifying the implementation and setup of TransLution™ and making the system more scalable. It is now easier to manage users and access rights with the implementation of EazySetup, and a number of other useful changes have improved usability as well.
EazySetup
The new EazySetup application is a great way also to give super users the ability to add new users and manage their access rights without requiring them to have access to the TransLution™ configurator.
Quality Manager
The full quality manager functionality is available on the new look EazyTouch forms. Users can use Quality Manager both to capture results for specific product samples as well as for data capture that is not related to a specific product.
USB Devices
We have noticed there have been some changes in scale technology and there has been a move away from only RS232 communications for scales to using USB communications too. TransLution™ supports USB scale comms in the 5.4 release.
Printer Setup
When defining where reports need to be printed you can now select a different location for each report if required. In the past report printers were based either on the user or on the TransLution™ device they were using when doing the print, but this can now change for each report that is printed.
Purge Utility
We have released a purge utility which can be used to purge transaction data in order to keep the TransLution™ database smaller. There is also an option to archive data before doing the purge.
